The Mandalorian is a live-action television series created by Jon Favreau based on the Star Wars saga. The story takes place 5 years after Return of the Jedi and 25 years before The Force Awakens, and follows the adventures of a Mandalorian mercenary beyond the territories controlled by the New Republic. The series has been broadcast since 12 November 2019 on Disney+ for the North American territory.
The series arrives in several European countries with the launch of Disney+ on the continent, from 24 March 2020, with the exception of France, where it will be broadcast from 7 April 2020, and Belgium, from summer 2020.
Jon Favreau is creator, head writer and showrunner, as well as executive producer, alongside Dave Filoni, Kathleen Kennedy and Colin Wilson. The series stars Pedro Pascal in the title role. There are eight episodes in the first season and a second is in production.
