Hermione Granger is the only child of two Muggle dentists. Hermione is a very intelligent, studious and generous girl. She met Harry and Ron on the Hogwarts Express the first time they went to Hogwarts. Like the two boys, she joins Gryffindor House. At first considered by Harry and Ron to be a "Miss know-it-all", but she soon became their best friend and the leader of the group.
They form an inseparable trio. Hermione is very good at spells and potions and makes Polyjuice, a very complex recipe, to perfection.
Hermione can't stand to be wrong or to be in someone's shadow. This character trait gives her a sharp sense of repartee, which Ron often has to deal with.
Her Patronus is an Otter.
Despite her seriousness, she does not hesitate for a moment, with Ron, to give up her last year to accompany Harry Potter on his quest for the Horcruxes and his fight against Voldemort.
During her time at school, Hermione develops feelings for Ron that are confirmed during their last two years together.
