Crookshanks is Hermione Granger's cat. He made his first appearance in Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third book of the saga. Crookshanks is a half-cat, half-weasel creature known for his intelligence and foresight. Hermione adopts him from the magical menagerie on the Crossroads. Having guessed that something is wrong with Scabby, Pattenrond will not stop chasing him to Ron's dismay. This will cause great tension between Ron and Hermione.
