Credence Barebone is one of the main characters in the Fantastic Beasts saga. He lives in the 20th century and met Norbert Dragonneau in the first part of the saga. Sent to New York by ship, he is swapped with Corvus Lestrange V and is mistaken for him following the shipwreck. Corvus V dies during the shipwreck. Upon arriving in New York, Credence is adopted by Mary Lou Barebone who mistreats him and prevents him from using his magic properly.
