Bellatrix Lestrange, née Black, is a pure-blooded witch and a Death Eater, committed to Voldemort. Bellatrix is a cruel and violent witch. She is the sister of Narcissa Malfoy, Nymphadora Tonks' aunt and Sirius Black's cousin. Bellatrix believes deeply in the purity of blood and Death Eater values. She draws her strength from her convictions and fanaticism in her master: Lord Voldemort.
After the First Wizarding War, she was arrested and imprisoned in Azkaban, from which she was freed by Voldemort after fourteen years of imprisonment.
Bellatrix loses her first wand when it is stolen by Hermione Granger. The wand imitates a dark, almost black wood, with a slightly lighter, more has the appearance of a tree trunk.
