Hogwarts is a wizarding school in Great Britain. It was founded over a thousand years ago by the four greatest wizards of the time: Godric Gryffindor, Helga Hufflepuff, Rowena Slytherin and Salazar Slytherin. They built Hogwarts Castle together in a place out of sight of Muggles to avoid persecution. The school is made up of four houses, each named after one of the four founders.
