Hermione Jean Weasley (née Granger) was born on 19 September 1979 to Muggle-born dentists. Hermione is a brilliant pupil, a generous and very sensitive young woman. She was very studious and loved to read.

She first met Harry Potter and Ron Weasley on the Hogwarts Express. At first, the two boys regarded her as a know-it-all, a feeling that was reinforced when Hermione always answered the teachers' questions.
